Senior Accountant – Manufacturing

Graphic House is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead full-cycle accounting in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires a strong accounting background, hands-on experience working with manufacturing operations, and expertise in job costing and project profitability analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, have experience supporting manufacturing operations, and demonstrate a deep understanding of job costing, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role works closely with company leadership and production teams to ensure accurate financial data, cost visibility, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Accounting & Operations

  • Manage and analyze job costing, project profitability, and forecasting.
  • Partner with operations and manufacturing leadership to improve cost tracking and efficiency.
  • Monitor labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure accurate project reporting.
  • Utilize manufacturing management systems to support financial analysis and operational decision-making.

Full-Cycle Accounting

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare and file multi-state sales tax reports.
  • Support labor compliance, prevailing wage reporting, and L&I requirements.
  • Review contracts for financial accuracy and risk assessment.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Financial Analysis

  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership.

Required Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (4-year degree required).
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong job costing and project accounting experience required.
  • Experience working directly with manufacturing operations and production teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience with KIMCO or similar manufacturing ERP/MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of multi-state sales tax reporting.
  • Experience with labor compliance, prevailing wage reporting, and contract review.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary

  • $70,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Safety Coordinator / Purchasing Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator / Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing workplace safety programs and supporting purchasing activities for both shop and office operations. This role helps maintain a safe and organized work environment through employee training, safety inspections, policy management, recordkeeping, and purchasing coordination.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Safety Coordination

  • Coordinate and conduct safety training for all new hires and current employees.
  • Organize and document employee participation in safety meetings, training sessions, and certifications.
  • Develop, update, rewrite, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Train employees on equipment usage, PPE requirements, hazard identification, lockout/tagout procedures, emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, forklift safety, lifting techniques, and general workplace safety practices.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections throughout shop, warehouse, and office areas to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor workplace compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training, incident reports, inspections, compliance documentation, and employee participation.
  • Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety compliance records remain current and organized.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including fire drills, first aid readiness, and emergency response planning.
  • Work with supervisors and management to address safety concerns and implement improvements.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employee involvement in maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Communicate safety updates, reminders, and procedures to employees regularly.

 

Purchasing Coordination

  • Assist with ordering and purchasing shop, office, production, and safety-related supplies.
  • Coordinate inventory levels and maintain purchasing and supply records.
  • Work with vendors regarding pricing, quotes, product availability, and order status.
  • Ensure necessary safety supplies, PPE, and operational materials are stocked and available.
  • Support departments with purchasing requests, order tracking, and supply coordination.
  • Assist with maintaining organized records of purchases and vendor information.

 

Qualifications

Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.

Attention to detail and strong recordkeeping abilities.

Knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA regulations preferred.

Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or office environments preferred.

Proficient computer and documentation skills.

Wire & Assembly Technician

As a Wire & Assembly Technician, you will be an essential part of our production team, bringing custom signage projects to life. This is a hands-on position that combines electrical wiring, assembly, problem-solving, and craftsmanship. Every project is unique, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of custom fluorescent and LED signs that will be displayed throughout Wisconsin and beyond.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Wire and assemble custom fluorescent and LED signs.
    • Assemble sign components according to production drawings and specifications.

    • Perform quality inspections to ensure accuracy, functionality, and craftsmanship.
    • Collaborate with production team members to meet project deadlines.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
Electrical wiring experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and production drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
Dependable work ethic and positive attitude.

Drafter – Custom Sign Prints

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our team and help bring custom sign designs to life through precision technical drawings. This role is essential in translating creative concepts into clear and accurate fabrication drawings that drive our production process. Proficiency in CorelDRAW is highly valued, as it is a primary tool in our workflow. While familiarity with Inventor or other CAD programs is helpful.

Our environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with project timelines that often shift based on client needs and evolving priorities. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and thrives in a setting where flexibility and responsiveness are key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed, accurate 3D models for components intended for 3D printing or CNC machining.
  • Develop technical drawings for custom sign prints using CorelDRAW and other design tools.
  • Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure 3D designs meet material and manufacturing constraints.
  • Ensure models and drawings comply with internal quality standards and client specifications.
  • Assist in selecting appropriate materials for 3D-printed parts based on function, durability, and cost.
  • Support cross-team communication and problem-solving throughout the design-to-production pipeline.
  • Maintain organized drawing files, versions, and project documentation.
  • Adapt to shifting project timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Drafting, Design Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
  • Experience creating files for 3D printing and an understanding of additive manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in CorelDRAW (for sign design) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve technical challenges.
